1% better everyday

The power of 1% is a very effective tool I picked up from James Clear’s Atomic Habits, his book is one of my top fave, read it twice and got a paper copy as well to hold onto the beauty that is in it.

A lot of people self sabotage themselves into thinking you have to do a lot to term as consistency when consistency is not only in quality but also in the action, the two have some synthesis, but the thing about consistency is the fact that as you do, you get better at it, so, quality of work is what comes with consistency not about you trying to prove a point for perfection.

In my view perfection is restrictive, because it means there is nothing better outside of what is seen, more like settling, however, viewing perfection as building blocks of creativity, wouldn’t restrict your mind and it creates room to make improvements.

It is like learning to take on a journey with a destination of “better than yesterday”.

I once saw a video of a guy who beautifully noted that only achieving a tiny bit of the goals we set is better than not accomplishing anything.

Jame’s ‘doing 1% everyday' growth was exponential, proving the point that to be consistent, we need to appreciate the tiniest of action we are able to put in.

Building on that spirit of consistency may take some time, it requires your commitment firstly to the little things and then the bigger plans.
Keep up!
